Levy Rebate
The rebate of maintenance levy paid for the Financial Year 2022-2023 is slightly delayed, as rigorous checks are being completed by several people including an external accountant to ensure accuracy of all details including names, addresses, emails, BSB and account numbers, and of course the amounts rebated.
This has been a long process involving calculations of used and unused 2022/2023 entitlements. There are over 900 rebates being processed.
We now advise that, based on expected timeframe for completion of these checks, rebates should be deposited in members nominated bank accounts between 6 to 9 March 2023.
Sale Proceed Distribution
Valuers are submitting their final valuation for approval and this will be the basis for calculation of the sale proceed distribution.
As previously advised we cannot place a timeframe for the distribution but be assured as soon as authorised the payments will be made.
Voyager Resort Ltd has just paid the Foreign Residents Capital Gains Withholding (FRCGW) for 9 lots (being lots 45, 49, 53, 56, 57, 58, 60, 61 & 62) based on the valuation of these lots being $750,000 or above. The FRCGW rate is 12.5%, so 12.5% of the apportioned value of these lots has been paid to the Australian Taxation Office. Accordingly, members who have interests in those lots have had 12.5% of their expected distribution for these lots withheld by the ATO. A detailed instruction sheet will be included with the distribution form to inform members how to reclaim this withholding tax (where eligible).

Please note that since the Resort sale settled in December 2022, the Reception of Voyager Resort serves the business of the new operator and has no ongoing involvement with Voyager Resort Ltd and the former timeshare scheme. As such we kindly request that shareholders not contact Reception staff for matters relating to the sale, distribution of proceeds, etc.
